Problems with Braxton's port continue as the nurses tried three times to access said port with no success, hence, three strikes and your out. Brax is so mello that he doesn't say anything. Well, his dad is maybe not so mello. After the third try vascular access came to the room. They wanted to try again. Thats when not so mello dad stepped in and said whoa! I thought three times was two times too many. They then did an x-ray to try to see if the needle was in the port. The x-ray didn't show anything that helped to explain why the access wasn't working. So with the port not accessed, no chemo tonight and now Brax has to stay in the hospital one extra day so he can get through his full round of chemo. Bummer.
More later,
Brad the Dad

Thank God for the good news on the bx of Brax's arm - so sorry he is having trouble with the vascular access. Good for you, Brad. Same thing happened when Grandpa was in E.R. last week - nurse kept trying and trying to locate a vein for a blood draw but could not - so I said, whoa!!! and next thing, a beautiful, strapping, shaved head, young man comes in and gets it right away. Praying for you all, especially our precious boy. Luv, GM
